Why TC?

Filed in category: Me

I wasn’t always called TC. Like many teddy bears, I started with a longer name which was shortened.

When I first joined my family, I worked on a communications project and was given the name TCP/IP. The abbreviation stands for Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol, which is technical stuff for how data gets about on the web. My name was the abbreviation, not the whole 14 syllables it stands for. We soon found that even five syllables is too long for a name and we changed it officially to TC.

So my name isn’t TCP/IP, and it certainly isn’t Transmission Control. I’m TC and it’s not short for anything.

Like a human adds a title, such as Mr or Professor, I add my title to become TC bear.
